1-Micron Cimtek Filter
Note on Fuel Filter: The 3-micron is plenty sufficient for most situations. The 1-micron filter kit is recommended if the vehicle has already had a fuel pump failure. If an HPFP fails, it sends microscopic pieces of metal into the fuel tank, and is nearly impossible to clean out the tank well enough to guarantee no remaining debris. The official recommendation from BMW is that the whole tank, LPFP, and all lines be replaced. If you have a 1-micron filter, these parts are no longer necessary to be replaced.
